tasked with “investigating” Johnny’s disappearance. From the start, Cooney
branded Johnny a runaway despite overwhelming evidence from witnesses to the
contrary. Cooney turned out to be better at making threats against the grieving
mother, Noreen, than actually contributing to solving the kidnapping of an
innocent child. Cooney threatened eye witnesses that saw Johnny's kidnappers and that saw Johnny being abducted. Cooney ensured that an investigation would not be pursued and that the kidnapping would not be solved.
